Vol. 50 Are Color Kyogu (Teacher's Aids) and Activity Sheets necessary?
Yes, they are necessary to “use” the English the students have learned. These tools are made for the activities which require the students to ask questions, please use them in your classes. This is a good start to make students speak in English.
“Keys from Leaning World”
1.
Even when students do not know the answers, let them say “I don’t know” in English. Use English as a language. English is not only a leaning topic.
2.
Let them use English as much as they can. Begin with communication activities with various choices – Not a single answer!
3.
Listen and bring in what your students feel. Try to think as everyone got a right point.
4.
“Opening your textbook” at the beginning of the lesson is NOT fun. That usually makes your students quiet.
