On the first page of each Learning World volume text, the achievement target for the text is clearly stated under the title ‘Do your best to do this much Achievement Target’. The goal for both students and teachers is to complete all the questions in the Achievement Target.

It also aims to help ‘the children themselves to understand their own learning outcomes’.

Using this page to tackle each assignment one by one will not only improve your English, but also give you responsibility for your own learning, a sense of achievement and the ‘true joy of learning’.

Once the text has been completed, the 16 tasks on this page should be completed over 3-4 weeks in the last month of the year (March if starting in April) for end-of-year review and ‘assessment’.

To achieve these goals, children are encouraged to listen to audio recordings at home.

*If you do not have a CD deck at home, you can listen to the audio of the student CDs via the app. Learn more about the app YELLOW, Book 1 is a text with audio QR, so you can also listen to it from the QR code in the text.

For three or four weeks at the end of the year, teach the whole class to do all tasks 1-18.

Try to ensure that everyone achieves the Achievement Target at the end of the year’s text study.

When all questions have been completed, a Certificate at the end of the textbook is signed by the teacher and given to each student.

(Please cut the Certificate out of the text using the tear-off marker and hand it in after you have passed the text).

*Depending on the class size, the school should decide on the evaluation criteria, such as Achievement Targets being OK at 80-90%, depending on the situation, such as joining in the middle of a class.

*When the end of the school year approaches, we will say, “Well, it’s finally starting next month, how well do you think you’ll complete it?” and support and guide them to achieve all the questions.
